What?

A concert series funded by the German federal government as part of the Science Year (Wissenschaftsjahr), exploring the connection between music and neuroscience.

My role

Together with my brother Samuel, we are arranging the concert program for the large project orchestra, multiple choirs and various featured guests. The program spans works of classical, popular and film music. My responsibilities include all the popular pieces as well as parts of the film music.

As a special hallmark of this program, we conceived and arranged a 15-minute medley spanning a wide range of musical eras and facets.

The following concerts are planned as part of this series:

• July 10 — Cologne Philharmonie (with Bläck Fööss and members of the Gürzenich Orchestra)
• October 18 — Telekom Forum, Bonn
• November 4 — Berlin Philharmonie
• November 8 — Bergson Kunstkraftwerk, Munich
• November 19 — Konzerthaus Dortmund
• December 11 — Beethoven-Halle, Bonn

What?

The conclusion of my degree in jazz piano and pop keyboards, in the form of a full concert evening.

The concert covered a good part of the music that has grown close to my heart - whether pop ballad, gospel hymn, funk crowd-pleaser or fusion burner.

My role

The entire responsibility was in my hands - from organizational aspects and setlist selection to rehearsals with the various sections and the band.

My central musical tasks were transcribing and arranging the sometimes very challenging program for rhythm section, 3 horns and 3 vocals, pre-producing individual tracks and, not least, sound-designing and playing the keys parts.

Further highlights of the evening included my arrangement of the RAYE hit "WHERE IS MY HUSBAND" (see video) and the live cover of Bon Iver's "715 - CREEKS" with a harmonizer.

What?

A concert evening with Neuss-based singer David Langer at the sold-out Zeughaus, with a program ranging from 1950s classics to modern pieces.

My role

As a permanent member, arranger and rehearsal director of the band, all arrangements for rhythm section and horns came from my pen. I also accompanied the entire evening on the piano.

What?

Christmas concert of the University Hospital Bonn's music society with choir, project orchestra, guest choirs & soloists, and the Bläck Fööss as featured guests.

My role

Together with my brother Samuel, we arranged the stylistically diverse program for orchestra, 3 choirs and, in part, band.

My area of responsibility was the pop pieces, with a focus on adapting the Bläck Fööss songs for orchestra and partly also choir.

The program was presented in two sold-out concerts at the Kreuzkirche in Bonn, which was also covered by WDR.

What?

For the 65th 'Lobpreiskonzert' of the Immanuel Lobpreiswerkstatt at the Oberschwabenhalle, a chamber orchestra was assembled and featured on several songs.

The concert was broadcast live on radio.

My role

I wrote two of the orchestral arrangements, was responsible for rehearsing the music with the orchestra, and conducted the orchestra at the concert.

What?

The debut EP of the artist collective "ZAMA Collective", which I founded together with a few friends.

My role

My work on this EP included (co-)writing (tracks 3, 5), production & mixing (1, 3, 4, 5), and recording keys (1, 3, 4, 5).
