What?
The conclusion of my degree in jazz piano and pop keyboards, in the form of a full concert evening.
The concert covered a good part of the music that has grown close to my heart - whether pop ballad, gospel hymn, funk crowd-pleaser or fusion burner.
My role
The entire responsibility was in my hands - from organizational aspects and setlist selection to rehearsals with the various sections and the band.
My central musical tasks were transcribing and arranging the sometimes very challenging program for rhythm section, 3 horns and 3 vocals, pre-producing individual tracks and, not least, sound-designing and playing the keys parts.
Further highlights of the evening included my arrangement of the RAYE hit "WHERE IS MY HUSBAND" (see video) and the live cover of Bon Iver's "715 - CREEKS" with a harmonizer.
